Cardest Dungeon
Developed during my first year as a Games Engineering student as part of the Game Lab I course with my partner Yannik Stamm in Unity. In the game you collect cards to become stronger while also collecting map pieces to rearrange the dungeon.
Playable in browser and downloadable here

Wire Generator Plugin
In the second year I developed a plugin for the upcoming game Electrified by 4Hats. With this Unity plugin you can create a wire/pipe object that finds the best path between start and end point and circumvents obstacles.

Game Lab III Project
Currently I'm working on a Falling Sand type game as my Game Lab III project. It is build from scratch using my own engine, written in C++.
Dino Feeding Simulator
Developed at the Franken Game Jam 2022 in a few hours as a joke to show first semester students a bit of programming while they did all the art. A 2D Jump 'n' Run game with two levels where the player needs to collect meat or plants as food for different dinosaurs since the topic of the Game Jam was "Two Worlds".
Available to download here
Dino Feeding Simulator 2
Developed as a sequel to 2022's Game Jam submission, Dino Feeding Simulator 2 changed from a side-view to a top-down-view. The player explores the randomly generated map in the search for food to give to Dinosaurs. Since the topic was "Give and Take", the dinos can then be put to work and produce resources, which can be used to "buy" additional dinosaurs and upgrade the player's house. Originally the game was intended to be limited, but since there was no time for balancing, the player can practically increase the map size about 50.000 times. All assets were made during the Game Jam, including sounds ands music.
It can be played and downloaded here
Steal The Viking Cheese
During the "Second Level Game Jam" hosted by our Professor Sebastian von Mammen, I helped continue working on a Game Lab I project of a fellow student. Steal The Viking Cheese is a in Unreal Engine 5 developed game where the player has to throw a barrel at vikings and survive endless waves. I implemented a story/tutorial mode during the Game Jam.
Kalos
In the summer semester of 2023 (my fourth semester) with the help of four design/media communication studends we developed Kalos, a 3D story-driven adventure game set in a fantasy world where the god Kalos asks the player for help on a quest to retrieve items. The player can influence the outcome of the story by choosing different dialogue options and to pray to other gods for help. The game features cutscenes with voice acting. Unfortunately it wasn't finished on time, so the choices don't have the desired impact on the ending.

Dino Feeding Simulator Online
Over the Christmas break 2023 I was bored and decided to make an idle clicker game like Cookie Clicker. It's about dinosaurs (like many other of my projects) and their poo. The more dinosaurs the player has, the more poo they produce. There are several upgrades which increase production as well as research projects that unlock mini-game that run in the same window. Multiplayer features might be added in the future, depending on my boredom.
It is hosted on the same server as this website and saves the game state in the HTML5 local storage of the browser. It can be played here
Dino Feeding Simulator 3
Done at the Franken Game Jam 2024 in a team with 5 people. Looks better than it plays because of time-related issues and creative differences. DFS3 is again a 2D Jump 'n' Run and the theme for this game jam was "End where you started". We thought of a narrative device that leads the player back to the start of each level by making up a story about a time travelling dinosaur who needs to collect fruits to power its time machine so it can go back home.
Living Armory
Made for the Pirate Software Game Jam 2025.1 by me and a fellow student. The theme was "You are the weapon" and we took it quite seriously. In this 2D Metroidvania you start as a stick and you can possess different kinds of weapons that are dropped by enemies. Weapons have durability and if it hits zero before you can switch to a new one, you are dead. I'm actually proud of this one.
An Arm and a leg
Developed for the Puls Game Jam 2025 in a team of 4 people. Unfortunately our team was plagued by sickness and development did not reach a point at which we would have been satisfied. There are lots of assets who were made by us that did not make it into the final game and we had to publish it with the test level instead of actual puzzle levels, so this represents more of a tech demo of what could have been made. The idea was a 2D Metroidvania-Puzzle-Platformer in which the player controls a robot that is missing it's limbs. The player can switch found limbs from arm to leg and unlock new abilities this way.
Hi my name is Linda Rogner (she/her), I'm a game developer.
Work in an IT Helpdesk
I used to work full time at the IT Helpdesk at Cancom NSG ICT GmbH in Nuremberg.
Games Engineering B.Sc.
2021 I started my Games Engineering studies. It was a close call between this and horticultural science.
Extracurricular Activities
Board Game Nights
Since September 2023 I'm hosting a bi-weekly board game night at my University. I'm in charge of announcing the date and time and ordering Pizza. For the latter I'm working on an improved version of a peer's PizzaBot service that allocates pizza slices to everyone interested.
Film Club Würzburg
I'm a member of the Film Club Würzburg. As a part of the unifilm network every tuesday we're showing a movie in a lecture hall. Every semester we gather up and decide which movies to show. We (the members) have no fixed duties but most of the time I'm in charge of checkout or assembling the equipment.
